Liberal hypocrites

What hypocrites! The media liberals and Democrat politicians say that religion is a private matter and emphasize that America has a tradition of the separation of church and state. Yet religion is fair game when they need to go after a conservative. "Mitt Romney? Is America ready to support a Mormon?" Well, isn't Senate Majority Leader (and I use the term “Leader” loosely) Harry Reid a Mormon? Is anyone arguing that his job is affected by his being a Mormon? Why does Reid get a pass if Romney doesn't?

For the media, it was sufficient for Obama to "pretend to disown" his pastor, Jeremiah “God Damn America” Wright. Apparently we are to believe that Obama slept through 20 years of high-volume, rabble-rousing, inflammatory sermons from Wright. (In the event you've never seen a videotape of a Wright sermon, let's just say that Wright’s voice is a bit louder than Clint Eastwood’s.) If Obama can sleep through Wright's sermons, he'll certainly sleep right through that 3 a.m. phone call Hillary Clinton warned about. Obama apparently doesn't read his church literature, either, or he might have noticed the announcement of the “Lifetime Achievement Award” given by his congregation to Nation of Islam leader - and infamous Jew-hater - Louis Farrakhan. Or perhaps Obama agreed with the honoring of Farrakhan, and has a cabinet position waiting for him. Or maybe he'll be the Ambassador to Palestine after Iran eliminates Israel to give Hamas that new address. (That great foreign policy expert Joe Biden, you will recall, told Israel officials they would just have to “get used to” Iran having nuclear weapons.)

And does anyone hear the media asking, “Barack Obama? Is America ready to support someone who, as an impressionable teenager, was mentored by a member of the Communist Party of the USA?” (In an effort to hide his identity, Obama referred to Davis only as “Frank,” in his book, “Dreams From My Father.”) Exactly what “values” did mentor Frank instill in Obama?

No, Obama gets a pass, but suddenly, reporters are rushing to Alaska to dig up as much “dirt” as they can find at Governor Palin’s church. They’re probably interviewing every baby-sitter she ever hired - but certainly aren't reporting that William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, former fugitives from justice and domestic terrorists, have baby-sat Obama's children. Reporters are probably even going through Palin's trash to see if she subscribes to “The Limbaugh Letter” or buys groceries somewhere other than Whole Foods. If they find a sales receipt from a Wal-Mart it will no doubt make the front page of the New York Times.

But the more the liberals scream and attack Palin, the more hypocritical they appear. The more the media tries to help the liberal cause, the more the public hates the media. If it's important to know that Palin's husband had a drunk driving arrest 20 or more years ago, why is the media not telling everyone about the drunk driving arrest of Biden's daughter - which happened much more recently? How about the video of a very drunk Biden singing and dancing? When do we get to see that somewhere other than YouTube? Will Keith Olbermann show it? Or how about repeating some of the videotape of Biden insulting Judge Robert Bork, ridiculing Judge Clarence Thomas, and questioning Anita Hill? Will they show that as often as they showed Dan Quayle misspelling potato?

And, let's see... Palin is from a small town, became Governor, then went directly to a national ticket. Wow, no one like that should dare to be Vice-President! Has the media reminded anyone of Plains Georgia? You know, the town of 637 residents that Jimmy Carter hailed from, going from peanut farmer to Governor to a national ticket? Or Hope, Arkansas, a town of 10,467, whose most famous resident became Governor and then went right to a national ticket?

A fair number of Governors have been elected President, and none of them had foreign policy experience. That includes Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Ronald W. Reagan , Jimmy Carter, and Bill Clinton. They all went from no foreign policy experience directly into the Presidency. So why can't Sarah Palin go from Governor to Vice-President? If foreign policy experience is what makes the difference, then the Vice-President ought to be someone who has been (or is) Secretary of State or Secretary of Defense. Obama’s being the chairman of a foreign policy subcommittee which has never had a meeting just doesn’t cut it.

No doubt the Vice-Presidential debates will include Palin being asked a stupid question like, “Who is the current leader of Liechtenstein?” – as though the security of the United States depends on knowing that name and no one could look it up if they needed it. (Prince Hans-Adam II, if you're interested.) Biden won’t know the answer either, and the media won’t ask him. But Palin might…

Yeah, yeah, what if McCain dies the day after he's sworn in? I'm sure his 96 year-old mother (who looks pretty sprightly herself) enjoys the media predicting how long it will be before her son keels over and ground is broken for his Presidential Library. Liberals drool over the “brilliance” of their “What if McCain dies” question – and still have the nerve to call Joe McCarthy shameless. (Note that every person McCarthy named as a spy turned out, in fact, to be a Soviet spy. Check out the Verona Papers.)

And what if Obama doesn't die the day after he's sworn in? Where is his foreign policy experience, beyond having briefly met a few European Presidents and then making a pandering, “America sucks” speech in Berlin to tens of thousands of adoring socialists? Big deal. Sarah Palin gave a speech to about 40 million Americans, and at least she spoke the same language as her audience. I’m sure that somewhere between Election Day and Inauguration Day, Palin can have the same meet and greet Obama had – and she won’t promise to burden American with more taxes to make it easier for Europe to compete.

Governor Palin certainly deserves none of the vicious attacks she's been getting, but she seems more than capable of defending herself. But if the liberals want a war, they'd better be ready to see campaign ads linking Obama to:

l Reverend Jeremiah "God Damn America" Wright, pastor of the Marxist “black liberation theology” church Obama has attended for the last 20 years, known for his rabid anti-American and anti-white sermons; Wright has supported the communists in Cuba and Nicaragua, and alleges that the U.S. government intentionally spread the AIDS virus to kill Africans and said that America deserved 9/11

l Louis Farrakhan, founder of the Nation of Islam, who said “Hitler was a very great man” and “Judaism is a gutter religion” and “white people are potential humans, they haven’t evolved yet”; Farrakhan received a “Lifetime Achievement Award” from Obama’s church

l William Ayers, domestic terrorist who planted bombs in police stations and the Pentagon, former fugitive from justice, and unrepentant socialist radical who has worked with Obama on a "reparations education program" to give all blacks free college education as payback for slavery; with regard to his terrorist days, Ayers has said, “I don’t regret setting bombs, I feel we didn’t do enough,” and the cover of a book he published after 9/11 shows him trampling the U.S. flag; Ayers said after 9/11 that America is “not a just and fair and decent place… it makes me want to puke”; Ayers worked closely with Obama at the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, an education reform group that wasted $100 million without reforming Chicago education; cartons of records from the Annenberg Challenge were recently made available to the media, after a few weeks of being “cleansed” of “sensitive information”; Ayers has made several trips to Venezuela, where he applauded Hugo Chavez’ efforts to impose greater control over teachers in order to garner their support for his socialist agenda

l Bernadine Dohrn, Ayers' wife, also a domestic terrorist and former fugitive from justice (How many of McCain’s friends have been on the FBI’s most wanted list?), member of Weather Underground, socialist, anti-capitalist, and occasional baby-sitter for the Obamas; Dohrn has publicly praised Charles Manson and his followers for murdering actress Sharon Tate, and recently said that “living in America constitutes living in the belly of the beast” and “the heart of the monster”

l Frank Marshall Davis, member of the Communist Party of the USA, propagandist, radical agitator, and Obama's mentor when he was an impressionable teen in Hawaii (referred to only as "Frank" in Obama's book, "Dreams From My Father"); Davis likely taught Obama how to be a “community organizer”; Davis later ended up in Chicago (did Obama follow him there from Hawaii?), but fled after the FBI and Congress started looking into his subversive and anti-American activities

l Saul Alinsky, socialist, revolutionary, and author of the 1960s hippie radical riot handbook, "Rules for Radicals," which Michelle Obama quoted twice in her DNC speech ("the world as it is or the world as it should be," from Chapter 2 of Alinsky's book)

l Tony “the fixer” Rezko, Syrian-born Chicago fund-raiser for Obama, and slum lord, who helped Obama get a deal on his Hyde Park mansion; in mid-2008 Rezko was convicted of corruption charges for trading clout as a top advisor to Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich

l Robert Wolf, CEO of the American Branch of the Swiss banking giant USB, who collected more than $370,000 in campaign contributions for Obama; Wolf lied to the U.S. government and concealed the identities of over 19,000 clients in order to help them avoid paying U.S. income taxes

l Raila Odinga, possible cousin of Obama; named his son after Fidel Castro; Obama visited Odinga on a fund-raising tour in 2007, and supported his campaign; a Muslim, Odinga’s platform included establishing Sharia law; after his loss, his supporters burned Christian women and children alive in their church; Odinga has ties to al Qaeda and Libya’s Muammar Qaddafi; the U.S. State Department strongly opposed Obama’s visit to Kenya and Odinga, saying it was in direct opposition to U.S. interests – Obama went anyway

l Professor Rashid Khalidi, a known terrorist sympathizer, critic of Israel, former spokesman for Yassir Arafat; Khalidi held fund-raisers for Obama

l Ali Abunimah, an Islamist and Palestinian rights activist in Chicago and close friend of Obama, who was told by the candidate that he was sorry he wasn’t talking more about the Palestinian cause, but his primary campaign had “constrained” what he could say

l Jkbkj Hbkjb, from the city of Jkbjnj, whose occupation is Balanon Jalalan; this is one of many fictitious entries in Obama’s campaign contribution records, which confirms that there is little oversight to insure against illegal contributions from foreign nations; donations have been reported from Hamas and Gaza

l The “New Party,” a Marxist political party that once operated in Chicago and whose endorsement Obama sought in his 1996 State Senate run

l Hatem El-Hady, former chairman of an Islamic charity called “Kindhearts” that was shut down for raising funds for Hamas and other terrorist groups; El-Hady is now raising funds for Obama

l Alexi Giannoulias, born into a Chicago banking family with mob connections, Obama supported his run for Illinois State Treasurer in 2006, despite his youth and lack of experience, with the statement that he was “…one of the most outstanding young men I could ever hope to meet.” Giannoulias later contributed $100,000 to the Obama Presidential campaign

l Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, endorsed by Obama as a “great mayor” who is doing an “outstanding job” and who will be doing “astounding things for many years to come.” Kilpatrick will have to do his “outstanding things” while in prison, as he was recently convicted of several counts of perjury and other felonies; Kilpatrick was also accused of assaulting a sheriff’s deputy who served him with a subpoena, and would have been a super delegate to the DNC

l Mazen Asbahi, Chicago lawyer who was ousted from his job as Obama’s “Muslim outreach director” when questions about his ties to a radical Muslim imam and the Muslim Brotherhood surfaced

l Nadhmi Auchi, a billionaire donor who was convicted of fraud charges; Rezko asked Obama to try to get the State Department to overturn its refusal to grant a travel visa to Auchi

l Julia Suryakusuma, an Indonesian and long-time friend of Obama’s mother, who said in the November 29, 2006 Jakarta Post that Obama could run for President of Indonesia; it is assumed she meant that Obama was still a legal citizen of that country

l Jodie Evans, co-funder of the anti-war group Code Pink, who donated $2,300 to the Obama campaign and raised $600,000 in cash and supplies for Iraq – not for American soldiers, but for the terrorists who were fighting them in Fallujah

l Reverend Leah Daughtry, who DNC chairman Howard Dean and Obama made chief of the Democrat convention; Daughtry’s church has a banner supporting slavery reparations, which reads “They Owe Us”

l Gerald Kellman, Obama’s boss when he was a “community organizer” in Chicago; Kellman was a disciple of Saul Alinsky, author of “Rules for Radicals” and a promoter of social revolution in America; Michelle Obama quoted Alinsky’s book (Chapter 2) in her speech to the Democrat National Convention: “the world as it is, or the world as it should be”

l Tine Hahiyary, one of Obama’s teachers when he was a student in Indonesia, who said Obama studied “Mangaji,” which involves recitation of the Muslim Quran; Obama denies ever having followed the Muslim faith

l Todd Stroger, son of former Cook County Board President John Stroger; the elder Stroger’s serious health problems were kept secret by the Chicago “machine” long enough to keep reform candidates off the primary ballot; Todd Stroger gained the position, despite total inexperience and a lack of qualifications; Obama supported the younger Stroger, who has turned out to be a disaster; more qualified reform Democrats were outraged by the way the situation was handled; in supporting Stroger, Obama essentially turned his back on the reform candidates, one of whom would easily have defeated Stroger in the primary

l Chicago’s Adler Planetarium Board of Trustees, who raised $250,000 for Obama’s Presidential campaign and were then rewarded by a $3 million earmark from Obama, for new “projectors”

l Mike Klonsky, who runs a blog on Obama’s official campaign web site; Klonsky was a 1960s radical in the Students for a Democratic Society; an avid advocate of Maoism, Klonsky formed a pro-Chinese sect called the October League, which evolved into a Beijing-recognized Communist Party; Klonsky was chairman

l Eric Holder, who led Obama’s team to find his Vice-Presidential candidate; Holder is rumored to be a potential Attorney General in an Obama Administration; Holder was instrumental in getting Bill Clinton to pardon members of the terrorist group FALN

l Jennifer Mason, Obama’s Director of Constituent Services and a member of Louis Farrakhan’s anti-Semitic Nation of Islam

l Khalid Al-Mansour (aka “Donald Ward”), radical Muslim and anti-Semite, close associate of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, and acquaintance of Obama; Al-Mansour asked civil rights activist Percy Sutton to write a letter of recommendation to assist Obama in being accepted by Harvard Law School; Al-Mansour speaks on a video in which he says, “White people don’t feel bad, whatever you do to them, they deserve it, God wants you to do it and that’s when you cut out the nose, cut out their ears, take flesh out of their body, don’t worry because God wants you to do it;” also said, “This is the time of the black man’s rise and the white man’s demise”

l Edward Said, Palestinian advocate, former advisor to Yassir Arafat, attended an anti-Israel fund-raiser with Obama (who met Said while attending Columbia University)

l Kenny B. Smith, who donated $550 to Obama’s Illinois State Senate campaign in 2000; in 2001, Obama steered $100,000 in tax dollars to Smith to build a gazebo, “parrot sanctuary,” and “walk of fame” in a blighted Chicago neighborhood; by 2008 only the gazebo had been built, and there was no sign of Kenny or the rest of the $100,000

l Barack Obama Sr., father of the presidential candidate, and avid communist, who wrote “Theoretically, there is nothing that can stop the government from taxing 100 per cent of income so long as the people get benefits commensurate with their income which is taxed;” not once in his book - which was dedicated to the memory of his father - did Barack Obama Jr. mention his strong communist beliefs

l Larry Sinclair, who says he shared drugs and homosexual “activities” with Barack Obama in the back of a Chicago cab, and who said the gay choir director at Obama’s church “knew more” (that gay choir director was murdered in December, 2007)

So keep up the vicious personal attacks, liberals. The conservatives can counter liberal lies and hypocrisy with the truth.

But for conservatives who may be fearful that Obama can't lose because he has the media in the tank for him, take heart. Yes, the media certainly wants an Obama win, but once they smell defeat they will throw him under the bus – as they've done countless times in the past. A Pulitzer Prize to a reporter is, after all, more important than anything. Most of them would probably even be willing to delay world socialism for a Pulitzer. As soon as Obama starts slipping in the polls, the tide will turn. The media hated Nixon with a passion, but that didn't stop it from eventually dumping on McGovern in 1972.

Yes, much of the far left crowd will continue to go crazy, but the reporters who later want to be called on by a President McCain at his press conferences will start "playing nice" as soon as they see the public turning against Obama. They're not going to hurt their own careers just to help Obama; they've been following the Obama parade because it's the loudest and the biggest, but they'll do an about-face if the McCain-Palin ticket starts attracting the crowds. Most members of the media are opportunists before they are Americans, after all.
